Adult Evaluations and Treatment
I evaluate and treat adults of all ages. In an evaluation, my goal is to comprehensively understand an individual's emotional and behavioral difficulties from both a biological as well as a psychosocial standpoint. Understanding someone's life story is very important. Most importantly, I want to know what you think might be going on and what might be helpful. The goal is to arrive at a working diagnosis about the cause of your concerns and/or difficulties and create wellness and treatment plans that you’re comfortable with.

Psychiatric Care
Psychiatric care can consist of well thought out, life saving psychopharmacological interventions. Medications effectively treat many emotional and cognitive difficulties and dramatically improve quality of life. However, psychiatric medications can sometimes be insufficient or not indicated. Psychotherapy (individual, family, group) can often be an effective way to work through emotional difficulties.
Dr. Court sees patients for psychotherapy, medication management, or both.
Dr. Court is also trained in nutrient therapy.

Nutrient Therapy
Dr. Court trained with Dr. Bill Walsh on nutrient protocols. Much like traditional psychopharmacology, The Walsh protocols assume that many mental states like Depression or explosive anger stem from physiological imbalances and have unique biochemical fingerprints. Lab testing can help ascertain underlying methylation status, copper/Zinc imbalances, and pyrrole disorder.
A directed nutrient-based approach can then be used to help correct any imbalances. The judicious use of vitamins and minerals can minimize the use of medications or even eliminate the need for them altogether.
The Walsh protocols are backed by research evidence and clinical know-how and can be helpful for those who wish to try alternative and complimentary treatment.
